Kharakapas is an upcoming clothing brand nestled in the old lanes of Gurgaon. We firmly believe in sustainable fashion practices and fair trade means. Handcrafted from the purest varieties of cotton, our designs are an ode to minimalist sensibilities that are handmade in India but have an uninhibited spirit of style for a global appeal.

What are the modes of shopping and payment you use?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover, PayPal and Bank transfer for online orders.

If you like something online but do not use online modes of payment, we also accept direct bank transfers.

Do you retail through physical stores?

Khara Kapas currently operates three retail stores across India - in Delhi, Gurugram, and Mumbai. Together, these spaces bring the brand’s philosophy, craft, and contemporary design to life.

Our workshop in Gurgaon is extended into a small showcasing unit.

What is your return & exchange policy?

We hand-make every piece to suit your need, however if you feel that the garment doesn’t fit well, we’d request you to ship us your piece back with a small note stating alteration requirements and correct measurements.

Alternatively, you can exchange the piece with a store credit of the same value by shipping it back to us, but we’d appreciate a feedback and reason for the same.

To avail either of these options, the garment should be intact with all the tags and labels. All the returns should be initiated within 1 week of receiving the garment.

For products ordered from our 'Sample Sale' section. please note that the product is one of a kind and shall not be customized, exchanged or returned at any stage. Therefore, we request you to go through the measurements chart carefully.

Exchanges and returns will not be accepted for any customized order. A product is eligible for exchange/return only if it is a standard product.

Return requests received beyond 1 week shall not be entertained.

*We don’t provide a return refund unless the piece is found defected from our end.*

What are your shipping charges?

We ship in India as well as internationally with reliable courier partners. The prices vary according to the size of the package.

India: Rs.150 & above.

International: Rs. 500 & above. (varies with shipping zones)

Please check for the shipping price on the item you want to purchase. We have no control over delays related with customs and custom charges. They vary from one country to another.

How soon will my order reach me?

Since we only work on a made-to-order model, please understand that we don't keep inventory and your order will be made from scratch which can take anywhere between 10-14 working days, with an additional shipping time of about 3-4 days for domestic orders and 5-6 days for international orders.

What if I like a piece that is out of stock now?

If a design you like is out of stock, it is because we don’t have that fabric anymore. If you like the style and are okay to go with a different fabric from our webshop, we’d willingly customize it for you! :)

Are duties charged on international orders?

We have no control over duty charges. usually for smaller order there are no duty fee charged to the customer. But any duty charges are local to the law of the buyers country. These if charged have to be borne by the buyer.

How do I know you’ve shipped my order?

Tracking details are mailed to you after we ship your order.

Do you customize clothes? If yes, is it charged extra?

Yes, we customize for a perfect fit.
We don’t charge anything extra for basic length alterations or minor alterations, however if the piece requires to be entirely customized, the customization charges vary between 5%-25% of the MRP of the product depending on the amount of customization.

What is the procedure for getting clothes customized?

While placing an order, we have a notes section at the checkout page where you can mention your customization details.

How to send a gift voucher?

If you want to send a Khara Kapas gift voucher to your loved ones, just make a bank transfer or purchase an item of the same order value and let us know in the notes section about the details of the gift card.

How do you promote sustainable and fair trade?

We believe in sustainable practice and are strong promoters of fair trade. Each of our pieces is handmade from scratch and crafted out of handloom cotton variants for supreme luxury and comfort.

From where do you source your fabrics?

We source our fabrics from skilled weavers across the country, working closely with artisan communities to celebrate regional techniques, traditional craftsmanship, and thoughtfully made textiles rooted in India’s diverse textile heritage.

How often do you come up with a new collection?

We introduce new collections every 2–3 months, including seasonal lines alongside smaller drops and capsule collections. This approach allows us to thoughtfully explore new ideas, techniques, and stories while keeping our offerings fresh and intentional.

How to use a store credit voucher?

If you have a store credit voucher in exchange of a product, you can enter the same at the checkout page in the discount box. Usually these vouchers are valid for a duration of three months and can be used against an order of same or higher value.
